A group of volunteers, nature-lovers, wildlife protectors, water shamans, and others based in Orlando, FL. Dedicated to protecting Florida waterways from the flotsam and jetsam of humanity. We meet once a week, on most Sunday afternoons, to clean a lake, river, or coastline or a park. Clean ups are held every Sunday at 2pm. Composting and Vermicomposting

This free educational program will teach various methods of composting and offer an optional make-and-take worm bin (with worms) to take home for $10. Please register for the program by calling Becky at 904-387-8850. Naturalist and mollusk expert on a wading hike of Smyrna Dunes.
Participants are invited to bring shells they have collected for

Explore the jewel of Volusia Conservation Lands.  Hikers will
experience diverse Florida habitats including pine flatwoods, xeric oak
hammock, cypress dome and swamp, plus walk the shoreline of a natural
piece of the St. Johns River.

The Wonder of Flowers

Want to learn more about the intricate details and beautiful variety of
flowers and see how they work?  Dr. Bill Grey, Rollins College, will
take you on a journey to the inner world of flowers in this laboratory
class workshop.  We will examine a variety of forms, colors and the
“reproductive architecture” of one of the most diverse groups in
the Plant Kingdom—the flowering plants.  We’ll also “connect the
dots” between flowers, fruits and seeds to see the magical goal of
flowers.
