Fay

During Tropical Storm Fay, we lost power at our house. Mommy and Daddy took me to my friend Molly's house in Riverside. When the rain stopped for a little while, we took a long walk to the River. It was all flooded! Mommy let me swim in the water in the middle of the street. At some points, it was over my head! We walked all the way to the river bulkhead, and we couldn't even see where the road ended and the river started, 'cause it was all water. We found a beach ball floating in the street, and Mommy let me take it home. It started to rain again, and it made me cry. Mommy ran the whole way back to Molly's house, carrying me. After I was done crying from the rain, I realized it was so much fun! I love the St Johns River, even when it's flooded!
